Organization: PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation PAD Position Overview: Provides complex administrative support to facility operations, exercising considerable discretion and independent judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information. Coordinates various programs under the California Unruh Civil Rights Act and other laws addressing the rights of people with disabilities. Serves as the first point of contact for internal and external customers seeking facilities support and information. Provides administrative support to the Facilities organization, manage office functions including: work order coordination, security badge and access assignments, database management, daily office operations, coordination of budgeting/accounting systems, maintaining office records, and providing general support services for the divisional staff. May oversee outside contractors in support of the Facilities Department, including maintaining records and contracts, coordinating project activities, and providing scheduling support. *The role will initially be primarily located at the Palo Alto site.* Job Description: EDUCATION: HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 2 years recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of facilities, maintenance operations and project management. Knowledge of institutional maintenance operations and projects. Knowledge of specialized computer preventive maintenance systems and Microsoft Project desirable. Knowledge of ADA, specifically Title III (as it relates to patients and visitors), California Unruh Civil Rights Act and other laws addressing the rights of people with disabilities, such has Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, 29 USC 794. Written/verbal interpersonal communication and problem solving skills. Interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions. Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options. Ensure the privacy of each patient’s Protected Health Information (PHI). Build collaborative relationships with peers and other staff members to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
