The United States Department of Agriculture Office of Inspector General (OIG) is awarding a call off a Facilities Support BPA that will provide professional facilities support services necessary to develop, manage, and execute a national strategy for space planning, real property management, and facilities engineering in support of federal facilities infrastructure and capital acquisition requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the position will include but are not limited to: Conduct engineering assessments of facility systems to support planning for capital acquisitions and infrastructure improvements. Develop technical requirements, design criteria, and engineering inputs for space planning and facility modernization projects. Support project management activities for facility renovations, repairs, and new construction. Provide engineering review of design documents, specifications, and cost estimates. Ensure compliance with federal engineering, safety, and facility standards. Coordinate with space planners and real property personnel to ensure engineering requirements are integrated into the national facilities strategy. Requirements Five (5) years' experience managing a federal facility or managing facility engineering projects, preferably within a federal environment. Professional engineering background in facilities, building systems, or infrastructure. Five (5) years' experience with Federal building standards including interpreting and apply federal, state, and local building codes. Two (2) years experience with GSA PBS P-100 (Facilities Standards for the Public Buildings Service) and how it applies to building systems and design reviews. Five (5) years experience conducting engineering assessments of facility systems to support planning for capital acquisitions and infrastructure improvements. Five (5) years experience developing technical requirements, design criteria, and engineering inputs for space planning and facility modernization projects. Five (5) years experience supporting project management activities for facility renovations, repairs, and new construction. Five (5) years experience providing engineering reviews of design documents, specifications, and cost estimates. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently. Shall be citizens of the U.S. Possess computer skills to include basic knowledge sufficient to complete internet searches and prepare/edit documents utilizing word processing or spreadsheet applications.
