Description

UWCSEA has a permanent vacancy at its Dover Campus for a Facilities Engineer (M&E).
The position plays a critical role in overseeing the comprehensive maintenance and improvement of all Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems on campus. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, safety, and sustainability of the school’s infrastructure not limited to ACMV, lifts, mechanical pumps, electrical, and fire protection systems. In addition to routine maintenance tasks, to be responsible for managing Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) improvement projects to enhance the efficiency and performance of campus facilities.
Reporting to the Facilities AHOD - M&E, the incumbent will assist to oversee the day-to-day facilities operations and help execute the college’s operational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the M&E teams and partners managing daily operations and administrative matters include yearly maintenance schedule
  • Manage the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all M&E systems, including ACMV, electrical, lightning, fire protection, and building automation.
  • Conduct regular inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance to identify and address issues proactively and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Plan and oversee M&E improvement projects, renovations, upgrades, and installations to enhance facility efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, external contractors, and vendors to coordinate M&E projects, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Certified FSM and perform the role of Deputy Fire Safety Manager of the Campus including the accountability for seamless working of all necessary fire safety infrastructure such as emergency alarms, lightning warning system and overall community safety related equipment.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager to support the needs of the department/college including cross campus deployment.
