Job Title: Facilities Engineer ~ RQ 25- 21 ~

TAQA North is currently searching for a Facilities Engineer. Reporting to the Manager, Engineering, you’ll be providing day-to-day facilities engineering support for asset teams focused on executing interesting and complex capital projects. You’ll be joining a team of facilities engineers, operations engineers, air emissions specialists, and in-house drafting services. Team culture emphasizes collaboration, supportiveness, and empowers individuals to work with a high degree of autonomy.
This position is based out of the Calgary downtown office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with asset and operations teams to lead the engineering, design, and construction of new well equip & tie-ins, in the province of Alberta.
• Planning & executing infrastructure projects including facility expansions and major pipelines.
• Supporting long term development plans through capacity assessments and cost and schedule estimating.
• Providing timely status updates on key projects.
• Mentoring junior engineering personnel.
• Being a leader in safety culture and a champion of the “Beyond Yourself” safety program.
• Working within the Management of Change program and being a resource for technical advice and guidance.

Your Qualifications:

• Mechanical or chemical engineering degree with facilities/operations engineering experience at either an upstream producer or EPC.
• Professional Engineer, or Professional Licensee, registered in Alberta.
• Fully versed in AER, ABSA, CSA, ASME codes and regulations.
• Willing to travel to the field. Field locations are accessible via day trips.
• Team player with a positive attitude who enjoys collaborating with others.
• P/Eng., with 5+ years of experience
