Facilities Engineering Lead
Location: Dublin 8
Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: €60,000 + Sodexo Benefits
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Engineering Lead to take a lead role in managing mechanical and electrical (M&E) operations, contractor control, and facilities maintenance at a dynamic client site. This position offers a valuable opportunity to develop your career in a fast-paced facilities environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide the on-site M&E team
  • Manage contractor access, documentation, RAMS, and permit-to-work processes
  • Oversee and coordinate planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and quoted works
  • Ensure site safety, compliance, and adherence to all relevant regulations and procedures
  • Maintain effective documentation, reporting, and contractor performance reviews
  • Liaise with the facilities coordinator to ensure efficient scheduling and completion of works
  • Support and implement cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements
  • Ensure proper use and logging within CAFAM (Maximo) system
  • Work closely with the Health & Safety team to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Certifications such as HVAC, PMP, IFMA, CFM, or relevant compliance training are desirable
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
  • Proven experience in contractor management, safety compliance, and permit-to-work systems
  • Strong decision-making, communication, and organisational skills
  • Experience in preventive maintenance and equipment reliability management
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to evolving site demands
