We're looking or a Facilities Engineering Manager to lead Electric Hydrogen’s Facilities Engineering team. You will manage a multidisciplinary group responsible for facility operations, maintenance, utilities integration, and capital projects that enable advanced electrolyzer manufacturing and testing. You will provide both strategic leadership and hands-on support, ensuring our facilities are safe, reliable, and scalable to meet company growth. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of production lines and facility operations. You will work onsite at our Devens, MA office reporting into the Director, Service Engineering & EHS. Primary Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow the Facilities Engineering team; set priorities, delegate work, and provide career development Establish and maintain processes for preventative maintenance, facility upgrades, and capital projects Foster a culture of safety, responsiveness, and continuous improvement Facilities Operations and Reliability: Oversee daily facility operations, ensuring uptime, compliance, and safety at our Devens facility Manage relationships with landlord, fire department and other authorities with jurisdiction (AHJs) Manage on-call rotation for facility emergencies and coordinate response protocols Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs for building labs, machine shops, facility equipment, and critical utilities Ensure readiness and utility requirements for new equipment installation in collaboration with manufacturing and R&D teams Engineering & Integration: Direct integration of facility utility systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, cooling water, compressed air, nitrogen [high and low pressure], etc.) with manufacturing, R&D, and test stand operations Collaboration with manufacturing, process, and facilities engineers to define and deliver project solutions to support new or modified production lines, equipment placement, and testing operations. Lead integration of facility systems (power, water, HVAC, compressed air, etc.) with manufacturing equipment and test stands Manage facilities aspects of equipment moves, installations, and decommissioning Oversee documentation of facility layouts, schematics, and utility integration Compliance and Safety: Partner with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Ensure facilities meet building codes, and industry best practices, while also promoting sustainability and energy efficiency Lead Emergency Response team alongside EHS leadership. Manage building fire prevention programs, including fire alarm and fire suppression systems. Serve as key contributor to ISO 14001 certification and Environmental Management System compliance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline 7+ years of facilities engineering experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment, 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role Strong technical expertise with facility utility systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, water/gas systems) and their integration with industrial equipment Proven project management skills with experience leading capital projects and cross-functional initiatives Experience with building design software (ex: Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam) Experience managing CMMS (ex: Upkeep, Limble) Excellent leadership, collaboration, communication and vendor management skills Experience in controlled manufacturing, or hydrogen/chemical processing facilities Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS/BMS) LEED certification knowledge of sustainable HVAC design practices #LI-Onsite Compensation and Benefits l M3 Natick Zone $123,000—$145,000 USD Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​ Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package.
