Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Facilities Foreman to oversee the maintenance, upkeep, and safety compliance of our operational sites. This includes 13 retail stores, a Central Production Unit, a Weaving Mill, a Central Distribution Centre, and any new stores that may open in the future. The successful candidate will ensure all facilities are maintained to the highest standards, both internally and externally, while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and carry out day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks across all sites
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of buildings, equipment, and systems
  • Manage and coordinate external contractors and service providers
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules and compliance documentation
  • Support new store openings with fit-out coordination and compliance checks
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues
  • Monitor and manage building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security)
  • Ensure groundskeeping and external areas are well maintained
  • Liaise with managers and department heads on facility needs
  • Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives
  • Participate in budget planning and cost control
  • Ensure work aligns with company policies and procedures
  • Balance preventative and reactive maintenance within budget
  • Manage 3 staff members (Electrician, Painter, Handyman) to reduce contractor spend
  • Maintain registers of fixed assets
  • Log reactive maintenance issues with priorities
