MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Position Summary: Patrols grounds and monitors gates entrances to ensure they are effectively functioning and proper serving their purpose. Responsible for landscaping and ground maintenance services for the facility. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities. * Responsible for the upkeep of facility grounds. Ensures landscaping is uniform with a satisfactory appearance. * Touches up paint and removes graffiti * Operates all equipment/tools correctly and safely: I.E. pressure washer * Performs routine maintenance on equipment/tools; maintenance is documented. Responsible for upkeep to tools need to perform duties. * Follows all safety regulations: wears safety apparel when working, i.e., safety glasses, appropriate shoes. * Pick up trash in parking garage and all outdoor areas, * Ensures work sites are left clean and tools and equipment are returned to storage. * Repairs broken fences/posts as needed; changes burned out light bulbs in parking garage and all outdoor lights. * Ensures all outside walk ways are clear of debris. * Maintains all facility roadways/drives, parking structures, stairways. * Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality JOB QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education (Indicate minimum education or degree required.) * High School graduate or equivalent Preferred Education (Indicate preferred education or degree required.) * N/A Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications (Indicate minimum years of job experience, skills or abilities required for the job.) * Basic computer knowledge * Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. * Must be able to work in a union environment.
