Facilities - Housekeeping Department: Park Services Employment type: Seasonal/Variable Hourly Work Schedule: varied hours including weekends, evenings and holidays Reports to: Facilities Supervisor and Lead   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Regularly clean and clear tables, chairs, walkways, windows, floors, restrooms and walls * Maintain the appearance of the facilities and grounds * Trash collection and disposal * Special clean up situations are to be expected * Properly use all safety equipment * Maintain a clean and safe work environment for customers and other employees * Provide superior guest service to all customers in a polite and expedient manner * Assist customers with all questions regarding City Museum including facility layout and amenities * Follow all park policies and procedures * Other duties as assigned   Qualifications: * Applicants must be at least 16 years of age * Ability to accept guidance and supervision * Ability to communicate effectively with public, customers and staff members * Be aware, attentive, and work well with others * Energy and enthusiasm for long days * Ability to work in extreme weather conditions while taking precautions, including hydration and sun-protection * Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs   Physical Requirements: * Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time * Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to or in excess of 45 pounds. * Ability to climb stairs
Responsibilities
The attendant is responsible for regularly cleaning and maintaining the appearance of facilities and grounds, including tables, floors, restrooms, and trash disposal. They must also provide superior guest service, assist customers with facility questions, and adhere to all park policies.
