Description The Maintenance Associate maintains the facilities and infrastructure that manufacture products for the customers of HyTech, focusing on grounds, building, repair, preventative maintenance, continuous improvement and safety. Requirements Duties/Responsibilities: Primary function is to perform routine grounds keeping, scrap and garbage disposal with the use of a forklift. Maintenance Associate is responsible for the shop floors using automated and or manual floor scrubbers. Building or repairs to the facility’s equipment and systems. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, repairing doors and other building fixtures. Inspects buildings equipment and systems to identify problems or issues. Identify best solution to resolve systems or equipment issues. Conducts preventive maintenance to ensure that the buildings plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems continue operating properly. This includes changing HVAC filters. Performs general cleaning tasks of the facility and machinery. Visually inspects and identifies issues to determine necessary repairs of facility operations or equipment. Performs routine maintenance on building systems. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. May meet and work with outside suppliers, vendors, contractors and other providers. The Maintenance Associate is required to represent HyTech in a courteous and professional manner. Complete work orders and requests for Maintenance using a computerized maintenance management system. Performs other related duties as assigned. Reports to department lead, supervisor and/or manager. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to follow directions and work well in a team. Knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general carpentry and repair. Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Ability to follow instructions. Excellent time management skills. Ability to operate a forklift. Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Basic Quality Standards and Concepts literacy Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Prefer at least one year of related experience. Other certifications, training or requirements as may arise for this position as communicated by management. Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time or move or position objects up to 50 lbs. May be required to repetitively move or position materials, tools, equipment and objects above and below shoulder level, and from side to side of body. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces. May be required to communicate, discern, convey, or exchange information with other teammates. Must be able to wear all personal protective equipment at all times during work hours as required by company safety rules.
