Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm Duties/Responsibilities: Provide instruction to a class of up to 12 students at various skill levels Deliver instruction and demonstration in the areas of: Safety, Environmental Awareness and Green Building, Hand and Power Tool Safety, Blueprints, Carpentry Maintenance, Roofing/Drywall/Plaster, Concrete and Masonry Maintenance, Surface Finishing and Sealing, Plumbing Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Building Safety Systems and Environmental Control Systems, Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance, and Employability Skills Collaborate with academic instructors to develop project-based learning activities Effectively relate to the student population and recognize student success in the classroom Provide mentorship to create a positive atmosphere and promote student engagement Maintain classroom and testing integrity Complete classroom attendance throughout the day Document student performance, progress, and concerns Maintain adequate classroom cleanliness Perform all other duties as assigned Requirements Minimum: At least four years of experience in the construction/building maintenance field or a minimum of three years of experience as a certified teacher in a vocational, technical, construction, or maintenance training program. No teaching experience required, however, if candidate is not state certified he/she must have practical experience in the general construction and building maintenance areas. Preferred: Minimum plus Job Corps experience, Extensive practical knowledge of trade and teaching or classroom management experience. PM22
