Description Summary of the Position: Facilities Maintenance The Facilities Team is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all our Pelican properties. This person is a professional whose thinking aligns with our vision and values. The Facilities Teams take pride in keeping Pelican Operations running. Clear communication, a “can do” and “do it right the first time” attitude is a must. This is a varied position with many different types of tasks and duties to be accomplished each day. Key Accountabilities: This position includes but is not limited to the following: Pick up and manage recycling from Cannon Beach and Rockaway Beach in a company provided vehicle. Work with HVAC/Refrigeration technicians to accomplish HVAC and Refrigeration maintenance duties. Work independently to accomplish task list Utilize a table to track work items and a resource to research information Pool & Spa maintenance for Pacific Seawatch facilities Capable of performing light maintenance duties and basic facility repairs using hand tools and general equipment, ensuring a safe, clean, well-maintained environment. Able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours. Must be able to lift, handle, move and carry, supplies, small wares, equipment, and paper goods at a minimum of 50 pounds constantly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat on a frequent basis to receive and store stock, supplies and equipment. Must be able to work in an environment subject to loud noises from restaurant equipment and machinery, fumes, odors, dust, and smoke. Requirements Preferred Skills and Experience: 1 to 2 years related experience Be proficient in mathematical calculations to the level used in Maintenance Mathematics. Ability to meet deadlines Excellent Communication skills Ability to Work in a Team Environment Ability to read and understand technical data, interpret construction drawings, architectural drawings, and specifications. Must be able to follow instructions. Knowledge of Safety regulations and Safe practices for the Construction Industry
