Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a practical and reliable Site & Facilities Supervisor to help keep our much-loved attraction running smoothly. Reporting to the Railway Manager, you’ll oversee the upkeep of our site, facilities, and essential services, as well as support a small team in their daily work.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll balance supervising others with carrying out maintenance yourself. During operational hours, you’ll act as the key point of contact for facilities, ensuring the site is safe, well-presented, and fully operational.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily site maintenance, ensuring all areas are safe, functional, and well-presented.
  • Supervise and support the Groundsman and Facilities Assistants.
  • Carry out practical maintenance across buildings, grounds, and visitor facilities.
  • Ensure tools, machinery, and essential services (electricity, water, waste) are maintained.
  • Support holiday properties (Abbey House & Lion House) with occasional checks, maintenance, and guest readiness.
  • Act as a designated First Aider and ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards.
