Description Facilities Technician - 2nd and 3rd Shifts Duties and Responsibilities: Perform repairs on facility assets, such as plumbing fixtures, ceiling tiles, water fountains, wall repairs, wall texturing, painting, changing light bulbs. Learn the proper use of personal protective equipment within 30 days of hire and use the equipment accordingly. Assess risk and identify issues that affect Operations, Engineering and all other site functions. Develop project plan and monitor progress against schedule. Regularly interact with internal and external customers and provide required support. Regularly interact with senior management on various matters. Coordinate resources with vendors, contractors, ensuring Operations is getting full support from Facilities team Maintaining the facilitation of various functional tools, including but not limited to: furnaces, photolithography, polishing, metrology, wet/dry etch, etc. Maintain compliance with both internal company and government regulatory data recording, record retention, and required reporting Maintain a safe working area and follow all on-site safety procedures and participate as an active member of the Emergency Response Team Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to meet business needs. Requirements Education and Experience: High School diploma or trade school, preferably with a Bachelor of Science degree in a related field 2-10 years of applicable experience, working in a semiconductor environment and/or experience working on electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environment Interpersonal Skills: positive respectful attitude, patient temperament, attention to detail, and flexible/agile way of working Must be quick to respond to all facility related needs, including the prioritization of all Facility topics Work Environment: Work is completed both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. The use of personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials can be expected. Frequent interruptions, static noise, and alarms (auditory and flashing lights) can be expected. Occasionally work in the Fab (less than 20%), which a temperature-controlled cleanroom environment that requires the use of a full-body gown, over-boots, over-hood, safety glasses, and other PPE. The use of personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials can be expected. Frequent gowning and de-gowning are required. Physical Demands: Maintain a stationary position, often sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods View computers monitor for prolonged periods Occasionally required to push and/or pull 50+ lbs. objects. Occasionally required to lift up to 100 lbs. and occasionally carry that amount short distances. Frequently required reach, bend, twist, squat, kneel, and stoop to access and work on equipment. May often require repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers May require different positions and motions in tight and confined spaces Occasionally required to climb ladders and other secure structures, as well as balance Occasionally required to operate heavy machinery Occasionally required to wear PPE, including a full body gown, face mask, and gloves in designated areas.
