A member of the Maintenance department, a food service division at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the oversight and maintenance of our food manufacturing facility and the facilities equipment & systems therein. Technicians will be expected to abide by food manufacturing policies and GMPs at all times while performing their daily tasks. This will include preventative maintenance programs designed to provide a healthy & safe environment for all employees & customers of Lyons Magnus as well as to extend the lift of our facilities equipment & systems. Technicians are expected to receive & comprehend trainings on complex steam, ammonia, and compressed air systems or equipment to then utilize that knowledge to perform preventative maintenance tasks. Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Hours: 6:00 pm - 6:00 am Schedule: 4 days a week (Must be willing to work OT and Weekends) Location: Walton, KY Travel Requirements: None Work Environment: Food Manufacturing Facility Core Responsibilities: Supports the mission, values, and vision of the company. Monitor Ammonia, Waste Water, Soft Water, Steam, & Compressed Air Systems daily to ensure critical operating conditions are met at all times. Take initiative to resolve issues as they arrive and immediately report out of spec. parameters and run conditions to the Facilities Manager by phone when they cannot be resolved. Repair Air, Water, & Steam leaks as well as fixtures like toilets, sinks, water dispensers throughout the facility. Knowledgeable in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Ammonia Refrigeration, HVAC, Water Treatment, Pumps, & Fluid Dynamics. *No-one is expected to know everything. Trainings will be offered for what you do not already have knowledge of.* Works within a team environment to share information and help others as needed. Perform inspections to evaporative coolers, HVAC systems, and updraft fans. Check operations of these systems for running conditions, belt tensions, water pump, cooler pads, bearings, motor mounts, bolts, and adjust alignment of motor and belt pulleys; change or tighten parts if needed. Weekly check of the rooftop ammonia refrigeration piping. *This involves a very long walk with multiple flights of stairs.* Inspect proper operation of HVAC units including condensate drains, fan operations, and UV lights. Assist the Maintenance Department in making repairs as one team, this may involve work outside of our normal scope on occasion. Fulfill work orders requests and log your labor hours in CMMS software. *Work orders types may vary from Preventative maintenance (PM), Food Safety Requests (PMFSQ), Corrective (CO) etc.* Communication and honesty is valued above all else in this position. Provides timely and efficient resolutions to all mechanical issues as required. Sets an example for other employees by following all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Must be able to work independently, work with little to no supervision at times, and follow a maintenance schedule. Hand tools should be provided by the technician. Specialty tools will be provided by LME. Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge in Electrical, HVAC, Ammonia Refrigeration, Heat Transfer, & Steam Generators/Boilers. Troubleshooting ability is key. Ability to communicate clearly with the team to discuss issues, repairs, and processes as needed. Ability to stay calm under pressure. Ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook for emails. Familiarity with computers/touch screens. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a construction related environment. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or industrial maintenance. Working knowledge of Plumbing, HVAC Systems, Fluid Dynamics, & Water Treatment strongly preferred.
