Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician (Onsite)
Location: Charlotte, NC 28269
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Pay: $20–$23.39/hr (W2)
Shift: 2nd Shift | Mon–Fri, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM | OT/Weekends as needed

OVERVIEW:

Carrier is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations in its R&D labs. This role covers a broad range of systems—not just HVAC.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years’ experience in facility or mechanical maintenance (lab/industrial preferred)
• Skilled in using tools and diagnostic equipment
• Can read mechanical drawings and perform basic electrical troubleshooting
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work around machinery

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on lab and building systems
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, pumps, valves, and HVAC equipment
• Assist with equipment installs and calibrations
• Inspect chilled water, compressed air, and refrigerant systems
• Maintain logs and ensure safety compliance (LOTO protocols)
