We are seeking an experienced facilities professional who takes pride in contributing to exceptional building operations and presentation standards. As part of our wider Real Estate Management division, you will manage key relationships with tenants and service providers, whilst also making recommendations to improve the environmental performance of our clients’ assets.

This position in working across five retail assets, predominantly based in Chester Hill with frequent site visits to Burwood, Thornleigh and Dural. Duties will include:

  • Ensure building compliance and drive engineering standards across the portfolio.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations and presentation of properties, including security, maintenance and safety.
  • Develop and enhance the team’s facilities management service offering.
  • Build strong relationships with tenants, clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor operating expenditure and review monthly budgets.
  • Support Property Managers with the preparation of monthly client reports.
  • Oversee facilities management systems and ensure accurate data management.

We’re now looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our Engineering leadership team and help keep this iconic hotel running at its best.


Job Description


Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Facilities Manager will be the operational 2IC for the Engineering function, taking a hands-on leadership role across the hotel's day-to-day maintenance and facilities operations.

You’ll lead and support the Engineering team, oversee preventative and reactive maintenance, coordinate contractors and works, and work closely with hotel leaders to ensure our facilities, plant and equipment are safe, reliable and maintained to a high standard.

This is a role for someone who enjoys leading from the front — combining strong technical knowledge with practical leadership and a genuine hands-on approach.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Act as 2IC to the Director of Engineering, providing operational leadership and stepping into the Director's responsibilities in their absence.
  • Lead and support the Engineering team across day-to-day maintenance operations.
  • Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance across plant, equipment and building services.
  • Be hands-on when required, troubleshooting issues and supporting the team to resolve operational challenges.
  • Manage contractors, service providers and maintenance works, ensuring quality, safety and compliance.
  • Maintain strong WHS, statutory and regulatory compliance across the hotel's facilities.
  • Work closely with hotel departments to respond to maintenance needs and minimise disruption to guests and operations.
  • Support the Director of Engineering with asset management, capital projects, sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement.
