This is an exciting opportunity for a positive thinking, organised and motivated individual who will manage a range of facilities services with particular focus on cleaning, catering, waste and laundry; working with other teams to continuously develop hospital services and actively participate in estates projects.
As a Facilities Manager, you will have site responsibilities and management of the Catering, Cleaning and Porter teams delivering the facilities services to the Weymouth and Portland Hospitals and its associated sites.
This role is working as part of the Estates and Facilities team within Dorset Healthcare: Weymouth Hospital is one of the Trust community hospitals with numerous outpatient services and an Urgent Treatment Centre.
We are looking for a full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Facilities Manager based at Weymouth Hospital, consideration will be given to applicants who wish to work fewer hours.
We are especially keen for the successful candidate to have experience and enthusiasm for catering and cleaning services.

The successful applicant will have strong management and leadership skills, extensive recent experience within a comparable role and be:

Drive the catering and cleaning services forward
Able to inspire and motivate teams
Communicate effectively with staff, patients and visitors
Used to managing staff and budgets
Committed to continuous service improvement
Able to work independently within their sphere of authority
Confident in the use of a range of computer systems
Take responsibility for health and safety and fire prevention within their service area
