OVERVIEW

GlenCORR Management Inc. is a customer-focused property management company, dedicated to delivering world-class service across industrial, commercial, office, and retail properties. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Manager to join our team on a 6-month contract. This role has the potential to be extended or converted into a permanent position. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of facilities management, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. This role requires effective project management capabilities and the ability to supervise a team while ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College diploma in Facilities Management, Engineering Technology, Building Sciences, or a related field (required).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or actively working toward certification, and/or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) designation an asset.
  • IFMA membership preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large property portfolios effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting practices, with experience handling account reconciliations, R&M, and CAPEX budgets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to enforce vendor accountability and deliver results within strict timelines.
  • Strong organizational skills with a commitment to accurate record-keeping.
  • Ability to think strategically, maintain a long-term perspective, and develop creative solutions.
  • Proven experience in facilities management, property management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically (“10,000-foot view”), anticipate challenges, and implement proactive solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with work order or facilities management software (Yardi experience an asset)
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for site visits.

    Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to extend the life cycle of building assets, components, and equipment.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to respond to after-hours property issues and emergencies.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with health, safety, and building code requirements.
  • Manage vendor and contractor performance, holding all parties accountable to GlenCORR’s code of conduct, emphasizing professionalism, clear communication, and exceptional service.
  • Obtain and negotiate quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers, ensuring transparent and consistent pricing.
  • Coordinate and monitor the activities of contract suppliers.
  • Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee procurement processes, including preparation of tenders, contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and statements.
  • Prepare and manage Repair & Maintenance (R&M) and CAPEX budgets across properties, ensuring accuracy, cost-efficiency, and alignment with operational needs.
  • Reconcile facility-related accounts and ensure compliance with accounting practices.
  • Lead and support special project sourcing, purchasing, and project planning.
  • Provide general knowledge and support in project organization, staffing, scheduling, and management.
  • Maintain detailed records, contracts, and communications in accordance with company filing protocols.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify proactive solutions, foster innovation, and maintain a long-term, strategic perspective in decision-making.
