Description
Description House of Hope Green Bay is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Facilities Manager to support our mission of providing safe shelter and stable housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. This position is responsible for managing organizational housing units, maintaining the shelter facility, performing light maintenance and repairs, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and engaging volunteers. The role helps ensure that all House of Hope properties and shelter spaces remain safe, welcoming, and well maintained for the people we serve. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, community-minded, and comfortable balancing administrative work with hands-on maintenance and facility management. Requirements Hours: Full-Time position. Ability to work flexible hours is necessary. Primarily works business hours during the week, but duties may require working some evenings and weekends to ensure adequate and proper service delivery for successful client outcomes. Experience in property management, facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field. Knowledge of rental property laws Ability to perform light maintenance tasks including plaster repair, painting, cleaning, and basic repairs. Experience coordinating contractors or vendors. Experience working with volunteers or community groups preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. Proficiency with: Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word Google Drive Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Email communication Valid Wisconsin driver’s license. Successful completion of criminal and caregiver background check Interpersonal communication skills and a sensitivity and understanding of the needs of a diverse, multicultural clientele. Ability to work effectively with others. Ability to maintain flexible work hours. Ability to plan and organize work and to make effective use of time Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry materials and tools when necessary. Ability to perform physical tasks such as painting, cleaning, and minor repairs. Ability to move throughout buildings and grounds.
