What this opportunity involves: We’re looking for a personable, professional, and proactive Facilities Manager to join our successful team. In this diverse role, you will manage a luxury waterfront lifestyle precinct that serves as the new home for several premium brands. Providing 6-star service, you’ll maintain a focus on all related engineering and facilities management tasks from contractor management, procedures and risk management, statutory compliance management, sustainability, as well as driving capital projects. Relationship building across all levels is important, as you’ll be the key point of contact between tenants and contractors. A snapshot of the day-to-day responsibilities: Proactively engage stakeholders to ensure that on site client expectations are met Ensure contractors are well-managed, delivering services on time and within budget Plan and manage all contracts to ensure that they are professionally delivered at the right costs Ensure financial processes are always followed Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory regulations Review operations regularly to reduce costs and improve operational standards Be on call when required Ensure escalation procedures and incident reporting procedures are implemented and in place Strategic planning, lifecycle of plant & equipment, project management, and concentration of the sustainability & economic performance of the asset under management. Team orientated: You love working in a team environment as well as autonomously and are positive and tenacious in your daily approach. Superb interpersonal skills: Customer service is your key priority, and you can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. An eye for detail: Having the ability to be proactive and able to identify potential risks through compliance with OH&S is essential. You keep on top of things and can also oversee budgets, cut operational costs, and incur savings during the process.
