We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager who will be based in our headquarters in downtown Baton Rouge. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Manager will oversee the Firm’s physical office operations and support long-term planning across all eight locations. This role is integral to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment that upholds the firm’s standards of excellence for attorneys, staff, and clients. Key Responsibilities: Manages day-to-day building operations, including upkeep, repairs, and coordination with vendors for all offices. Serves as liaison with building management regarding maintenance, security, parking, and access. Working the Facilities Coordinators, oversees the Firm’s conference centers, including room setup, catering, A/V systems, and vendor support. Coordinates new construction, renovation, and relocation projects, ensuring alignment with budgets and timelines. Reviews and makes suggestions relative to contracts with external vendors and service providers, including those for cleaning, maintenance, and security. Supervises facilities support personnel. Assists with developing and managing department budget. Works collaboratively with Copy Center managers in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Houston and office administrative personnel in all office locations. Supports trial teams in remote locations including coordination of lodging, war rooms, office equipment, catering, trial exhibits, trial supplies, and more. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 5+ years of experience in real estate, construction, project management, facilities, or operations management within a professional services environment. Knowledge and understanding of lease agreements, contracts, and/or vendor management. Solid understanding of facility management practices, procedures, and industry trends. Experience managing budgets. Keen eye for detail and design; ability to blend aesthetics with functionality. Strong product and furnishing knowledge. High level of organization and planning. Impeccable attention to detail. Capable of working independently and collaboratively with a team. Proven ability to lead teams, delegate tasks, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment. Highly professional in appearance and demeanor. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with technical ability to learn new platforms. Additional Position Requirements: Office location – Downtown Baton Rouge. In-office position. Travel to all Kean Miller offices as needed. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends (as needed basis).
