OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate ensures that the properties are attractive and neat by performing groundskeeping and cleaning services while maintaining facilities and equipment to an acceptable level with minimal disruptions in service.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a high school diploma/GED
  • 3 years’ prior maintenance experience.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides groundskeeping services including lawn and garden maintenance, and snow shoveling.
  • Provides scheduled and emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment.
  • Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
  • Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties.
  • Complies with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Closely monitors and follow-ups on janitorial-service work performance.
  • Makes repairs as needed or requested by staff.
  • Seeks bids and maintenance agreements for Co-Presidents to approve.
  • Makes sure all facility certificates of inspections are updated and never expire. i.e. elevator, boiler, kitchen suppression system, interior sprinkler system, fire extinguishers and smoke detector stations etc.
  • Follows up with companies Keohane has service agreements with, being sure their work is completed on schedule days and times.
  • Purchases supplies necessary to perform repairs that are requested.
  • Maintains furnace filters.
  • Coordinates with other staff members to ensure proper set-up and tear down of viewing rooms.
  • Ensures that parking lots are clean and well-maintained.
  • Maintains an appropriate inventory of cleaning materials and supplies.
  • Ensures that air conditioning, heating, security and sound systems are well-maintained and in good repair.
  • Works with appropriate government agencies to ensure that buildings are safe and meet current code requirements.
  • Schedules and coordinates major cleaning and maintenance projects with other staff members.
  • Schedules and coordinates work with outside contractors as necessary.
  • Provides emergency “on call” services.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ensures compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
