Job Overview: The Facilities & Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring our facility operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This position is responsible for overseeing janitorial operations, coordinating preventive maintenance and repairs, supporting manufacturing equipment installations, and partnering with vendors to address facility needs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, hands-on, and able to manage a wide range of tasks — from scheduling routine maintenance to helping plan future facility improvements. Key Responsibilities: Janitorial & Facility Upkeep Manage custodian schedules, daily routines, and cleaning standards. Monitor janitorial inventory and supplies, ensuring timely replenishment. Maintain exterior cleanliness and facility presentation. Routine Maintenance & Safety Oversee building maintenance programs including pest control, HVAC, and safety systems (fire extinguishers, keys, alarms, etc.). Conduct daily checks on support equipment to ensure proper operation. Research and recommend new facility equipment as needed. Help develop and maintain facility floor plans, maps, and layouts for other departments (e.g., exit strategies, racking layouts). Maintenance Calls & Vendor Coordination Partner with and schedule external vendors for facility issues, including electrical, plumbing, landlord repairs, forklifts, trash removal, and canteen services. Source and pick up small supplies from local vendors when immediate needs arise. Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines and support equipment when possible; coordinate vendor service for repairs that cannot be handled internally. Manufacturing Support Conduct electrical capacity calculations for new equipment installations to ensure facility readiness. Assist in designing layouts for CNC machines and support equipment to optimize space and efficiency. Lead the installation of new CNC machinery and related support equipment. Requirements 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and building infrastructure. Hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining CNC or manufacturing equipment preferred. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Ability to coordinate multiple vendors and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments.
