QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent desirable.
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
  • Understanding of CDM regulations desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Passion for driving change and continual improvements.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Experience with lean principles and/or six sigma qualification desirable.
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Project, Office 365, and SAP (training provided).
  • Awareness of COSHH, PUWER, TABRA, and Dynamic Risk Assessments.
  • Good understanding of chemical safety, storage, and segregation.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, numerical, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage incidents and collaborate with EHS teams.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong commitment to quality standards and procedures.
  • Project management experience desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with statutory inspection requirements.
  • Collaborate with the EHS team to maintain safety-critical equipment.
  • Manage site services including security, maintenance, utilities, cleaning, waste disposal, and recycling.
  • Monitor and promote positive energy and environmental trends.
  • Upload sustainability data to corporate systems monthly.
  • Maintain records for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
  • Prepare construction phase plans and health and safety files.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide timely reports.
  • Review site layout for safe practices and operational efficiencies.
  • Implement equipment management and ensure routine preventative maintenance.
  • Prepare annual forecasts for site expenditure and document changes.
