Job Description


Oaks Cypress lakes Resort are looking for an experienced and reliable Facilities Manager to lead our facilities operations on a full-time basis.

This role is essential in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all building systems, common areas, and resort facilities. The successful candidate will oversee preventative maintenance programs, contractor management, Body Corporate relationships, compliance obligations, capital projects, and day-to-day maintenance activities across the property.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and drive preventative maintenance programs to ensure all building systems and facilities are operating safely and efficiently.
  • Provide hands-on support by undertaking repairs and maintenance as required across the property.
  • Manage contractors and service providers across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire, security, pest control, cleaning, and essential services.
  • Oversee the presentation, maintenance, and upkeep of common areas, gardens, and grounds.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules, contractor works, quotes, reporting, and asset management plans.
  • Liaise with Body Corporate representatives, owners, residents, and hotel management on all property-related matters.
  • Assist with budgeting, expenditure control, invoice approvals, and capital expenditure projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), emergency procedures, contractor management requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, contractor documentation, building reports, and compliance registers.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance property performance and guest experience.

Shift Details (subject to change):

  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:30am start time (flexible for the right candidate)
  • Occasional weekend or after-hours callouts may be required on an ad hoc basis
