We are currently seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our client's team on a short-term contract, supporting the day-to-day management of facilities, maintenance activities and contractors across an operational site.

This is a hands-on coordination role suited to someone with experience across facilities management, asset maintenance, trades or property management who is confident managing multiple priorities and working autonomously.


The Role

As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating planned and reactive maintenance, supporting work delivery and ensuring day-to-day facilities operations continue to run smoothly.


You will work closely with site School Officers and the Cleaning Supervisor, while also engaging regularly with key client stakeholders including Business Managers and School Principals, as well as contractors and internal teams. A key part of the role will be coordinating these different stakeholders and acting as a central point of contact for facilities and maintenance matters.



Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing planned and reactive maintenance across site
  • Working closely with School Officers and the Cleaning Supervisor to coordinate day-to-day facilities requirements
  • Liaising with Business Managers, School Principals and other client stakeholders
  • Acting as a key point of contact for facilities management and asset maintenance matters
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with subcontractors, contractors and internal teams
  • Coordinating day-to-day activities with site-based personnel
  • Conducting site inspections and audits and ensuring actions are closed out
  • Supporting work order management and responding to subcontractor queries
  • Monitoring contractor performance against agreed scope, budget and compliance requirements
  • Maintaining accurate records, plans and reporting
  • Supporting the effective delivery of maintenance and facilities-related works


About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience within facilities management, trades, asset maintenance or a similar environment
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously
  • Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • A proactive, organised and personable approach
  • The ability to think quickly and confidently manage day-to-day operational requirements
  • Project coordination or project management experience – desirable
  • Trade, property or facilities management-related qualifications – desirable
  • Essential RequirementsCurrent Australian driver's licence
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check, or willingness to obtain these prior to commencing
