Reporting directly to the Pastoral Associate/Business Manager, the facility manager will balance technical "fix-it" tasks with high-level administrative and personnel management. You’ll oversee everything from HVAC contracts and roof repairs to setting up for the Fall Festival and ensuring liturgical supplies (like altar wine and candles) are always well stocked. Compliance & Safety: Manage all property inspections and act as the primary liaison with the City of Poway (Fire/Sheriff) and manage safety programs (IIPP/Workplace Violence Prevention). Administrative Oversight: Assist with budget planning, handle annual property tax exemptions (Welfare Exemption), and perform minutes for the Parish Finance Council, maintain maintenance records. Facility Calendars: Manage and maintain primary facility online calendars, including Holy Family Center, Gymnasium and Parish Center. Ensure outside organizations using parish facilities (e.g. Scouts, KoC, parishioners) have Facility Use Agreements on file and apply for special event coverage through CMG, as applicable. Team Leadership & Training: As a member of the management team, you’ll be working directly with the Pastor and Pastoral Associate and Business Manager and expected to cross- train and supervise facilities staff and perform annual reviews and daily direction. Flexibility: As an exempt position, the facility manager is expected to maintain a flexible schedule and be available on call for plant emergencies, such as fire alarms, equipment failures, power outages, etc. Technical Versatility: Practical knowledge of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems. You should be as comfortable with a wrench as you are with a spreadsheet. Self-Starter: A multi-tasker with a sense of urgency who can prioritize a long list of projects without constant supervision. Tech Savvy: Proficiency in computer technology, including managing livestreaming equipment and office copiers.
