Description
The Facilities Manager ensures the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of the company’s shared service center facilities. This role oversees building infrastructure, office space planning, vendor management, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The Facilities Manager plays a critical role in creating a productive and secure work environment for employees in a high-volume, 24/7 BPO setting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Key Responsibilities: Facilities Operations & Maintenance Manage day-to-day operations of the facility, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems. Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are implemented and adhered to. Respond promptly to facility-related issues and emergencies. Space Planning & Optimization Oversee office layout planning to accommodate business growth and operational needs. Coordinate seating arrangements for multiple teams and ensure ergonomic standards. Vendor & Contract Management Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors for cleaning, security, utilities, and other services. Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire safety regulations, and occupational health standards. Conduct regular safety audits and emergency drills Budgeting & Cost Control Prepare and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting and cost optimization. Track expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality. Sustainability & Environmental Initiatives Implement energy-saving measures and sustainability programs within the facility. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years in facilities management, preferably in a BPO or shared service environment. Technical Skills: Knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations. Soft Skills: Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Certifications (Preferred): OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent safety certifications. Key Competencies: Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure. Vendor relationship management Budgeting and financial acumen. Leadership and team management.
