JOB SUMMARY

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly experienced Facilities Manager SME to oversee and optimize administrative and facility operations. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating key organizational support functions, including records and information management, mail distribution, facilities planning and maintenance, custodial operations, and other office support services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational efficiency, process improvement, and strategic facility management to support organizational success.
Compensation Minimum: $140,000
Compensation Maximum: $150,000
Job Requirements:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in government contracting or federal programs
  • Certification in project management (PMP), business process improvement, or financial analysis is a plus

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree is required; however, 6+ years of relevant work experience may be considered as a substitute of required experience OR an associate degree plus 4 years’ work experience may be substituted by a bachelor’s degree
  • A master’s degree (MA/MS) is preferred; however, a bachelor’s degree plus 8 years’ work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree OR 12+ years of relevant work experience may be accepted in place of a master’s degree
  • in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) Crediting Combinations of Education and Experience standard

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.

  • Identified as recognized industry leaders for a given area of expertise
  • Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs
  • Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues
  • Consults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions
  • Oversees facilities planning, maintenance, and operational support to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize administrative and facilities management functions.
  • Manage records and information systems, ensuring compliance with federal and organizational policies.
  • Supervise and coordinate mail distribution, custodial operations, and office support services to maintain a seamless work environment.

  • Prepare detailed operations and procedures manuals to guide facility management and administrative functions.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to assess business needs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, industry standards, and security protocols related to facility operations.
  • Utilize data analysis tools and business intelligence platforms to generate actionable reports and insights.
  • Monitor and assess regulatory changes that may impact business and facility operations.
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex operational challenges.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
