Your role at St John of God Warrnambool We are seeking applications for a Facilities Manager (National) to join our Facility Management team at Warrnambool VIC, on a permanent full-time basis. This role manages the functions of the Facilities Management Department to ensure that buildings, plant, equipment and grounds within the Division are safe, properly maintained and compliant with relevant statutory regulations and legislation. This includes all maintenance, engineering, contractors, security and facilities management functions as well as responsibility for the management of hospital vehicles and the oversight of Routine Capital and refurbishment projects. The Position Ensuring an up-to-date inventory of all items of plant and equipment records of equipment is maintained. Developing and managing planned and preventative maintenance (PM) schedules. The management of Computerised works management system, development and currency of maintenance programs, PM and Repair work order completion, record keeping and ensuring timely turnaround on work orders. The management of maintenance of essential and non-essential equipment and emergency systems, including emergency lights, standby generating sets, fire alarm system, cardiac arrest system, duress system etc. Management of the Building Management System (BMS). Oversight of all contractors including their safety, compliance and performance against contract We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced trades professional with extensive knowledge of building services, practices, and Australian Building Standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both state and federal legislation and guidelines relating to environmental management. Exceptional communication skills are essential, including the ability to build strong stakeholder partnerships and maintain reliable professional networks. Successful applicants must hold a trade qualification and/or significant facility management experience with a sound knowledge of building services, including air conditioning and methods of sterilising.
