The Facilities Manager organizes and assists in the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery, including HVAC, building lighting systems, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance. The incumbent in this role may coordinate the work of employees who repair and maintain building/facility/grounds, equipment and machinery.

Ability to carry out the construction, remodeling, renovation and maintenance of buildings and facilities
o Construction (e.g.: framing, drywall, flooring, finishing, roofing, locksmith task, etc.)
o General working knowledge of all aspects of plumbing issues in a corporate building (e.g. sinks, faucet, toilet, etc.)
o Electrical (e.g. building lighting system, cable management, etc.)
o HVAC
EDUCATION
Bachelor Degree in Health-Care Administration, Management and Operations preferred. Minimum of three years facility or custodial experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Facility Management Certification preferred or Facility Management Profession. Driver’s license required.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet. Working knowledge of architectural, electrical and mechanical systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Environmental Staff, and Mobile Van Driver.
Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company’s values.
