Description Emory at Grady seeks a skilled Facilities Planning Coordinator to support the Assistant Director of Space and Facilities Planning. This role supports campus-wide space and project planning initiatives and enhances coordination between Emory and Grady facilities teams. The ideal candidate will have project management experience and strong skills in meeting coordination, documentation, and action‑planning. JOB DESCRIPTION: Coordinates and oversees departmental facilities operations. Develops project timelines, monitors workflow, and maintains accurate documentation for all ongoing facilities‑related projects. Ensures facilities, equipment, and supplies for teaching and research are safe, functional, and available. Conducts routine inspections to identify issues related to safety, cleanliness, and lighting. Submits and tracks service work orders to completion. ADDITIONAL RESPOSIBILITIES: Work with administrative leadership on assessment/validation of space and inventory Track and update the Grady Space Request Form and follow up, where necessary Submit service Work Orders (WOs) and follow up on action completion Assist Manager with room setups and moving furniture in partnership with campus staging and maintenance Assist Manager with vendor quotes Coordinate required safety/security drills and follow up action planning Coordinate required training sessions/series with internal and external vendors Partner with campus services and other contracted services to monitor and close outstanding issues Partner with Grady campus maintenance team to ensure the completion of open work orders Train and provide backup to the Grady campus mailroom Coordinate/facilitate the weekly facilities leadership meeting and ensure capture and distribution of action items Maintain Grady campus facilities project plan Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree and one year of experience in construction, engineering, architecture and/or coordinating large projects or events, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Project management experience preferred NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in person at an Emory University location. Remote work-from-home day options may be granted at department's discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to the employee.
