FACILITIES / ROAD & GROUNDS MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Ellijay, GA POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Facilities / Road & Grounds Maintenance Technician to help maintain and preserve the beauty, safety, and functionality of our 5,500-acre mountain community. This full-time position plays a key role in maintaining roads, common areas, facilities, and grounds to ensure a high-quality environment for residents and guests. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-conscious, physically capable, and enjoys working outdoors in varying weather conditions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain roads, drainage systems, signage, and community infrastructure * Perform groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, brush clearing, and debris removal * Assist with snow removal, sanding, and seasonal road maintenance * Perform general facility repairs and preventative maintenance * Operate trucks, tractors, mowers, and other equipment safely * Conduct routine inspections of community areas and report issues * Assist with special projects and emergency response as needed * Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition QUALIFICATIONS * High school diploma or equivalent preferred * Basic handyman or general maintenance skills required * Experience in facilities maintenance, landscaping, construction, or related field preferred * Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and power tools * Valid driver’s license required * Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Health Card PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis * Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods * Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions * Ability to perform physically demanding tasks safely SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES * Strong work ethic and reliability * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Good problem-solving skills * Attention to detail * Commitment to safety
