Position Summary The Facilities Senior Tech is responsible for managing the equipment and maintenance needs of our production facility in the DFW area. This role will ensure that the production facility complies with the company’s set health and safety standards. The Facilities Senior Tech will regularly inspect the facility for improvements, repairs, and replacements to improve production efficiency. This individual will play a critical role in managing the facility’s refrigeration, waste disposal, HVAC, and kitchen equipment. What you will do… Help to develop and follow scheduled preventative maintenance plans for all kitchen and warehouse equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems and identifies their solution in effort to correct malfunctions and reduce further breakdowns Create schedule for fellow tech and yourself to ensure coverage during facilities working hours. This facility is open 6 days a week. Maintain inventory for regularly used parts and places parts order upon Manager approval Repair any equipment breakdowns or malfunctions of electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, HVAC or plumbing systems to ensure that the facilities functions are not interrupted Maintain equipment in proper and safe working order Monitor and assist all repair contractors while on site as needed Maintain detailed equipment records Update records and adhere to all FMMS guidelines and requirements Follow all policies and procedures required to adhere to OSHA and FDA standards Maintain contracts with outside vendors as needed Qualifications Who you are… High school diploma, GED or equivalent Experience working with commercial refrigeration equipment, EPA certification is required Facility manager certification is a plus. Vocational and special trades training, military training & service is a plus Extensive knowledge in operation and repairs of commercial kitchen equipment Extensive knowledge of commercial refrigeration equipment repair. Working knowledge of commercial plumbing repairs Ability to read electrical schematics, blue prints and use to diagnose necessary repairs Able to obtain certifications to operate all warehouse equipment Must be able to lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time Basic MS Excel and Word knowledge Knowledge of FMMS systems Knowledge of OSHA and FDA standards Ability to work a set shift schedule The Finer Print Who you report to: VP of Culinary and Kitchen Operations Status: Full-Time, Exempt
