Reporting to: Facilities Manager
Gloucester’s Facilities Service Operator performs a vital role within Safran’s ability to ensure all Site infrastructure and Systems are performing as expected to meet site requirements. These systems support the Heating of Workplaces and Water Treatment Processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

What will I be doing?

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the safe operation of the main industrial steam boilers and all steam plant and equipment in accordance with site procedure and regulations.
  • Treatment of trade effluent in accordance with site procedure and regulations.
  • Operation and control of the electro plating swill water-recycling plants.
  • Testing and lab analysis of treated effluent.
  • Sampling of surface and process water.
  • Safely isolate steam & condensate, gas, compressed air and water.
  • Diagnose faults on mechanical services.
  • Servicing of mechanical services.
  • Tooling and equipment inspections.
  • Health and Safety General Planned Inspections (GPI).
  • Stock control.
  • Spill response and to be chemically aware.
  • Basic administrative duties.

What do I need to succeed in the role?

Technical Competencies required:

  • Knowledge of plant maintenance and servicing requirements.
  • BOAS trained desirable but training can be provided.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental issues relating to plant maintenance.
  • Forklift truck operation desirable but training can be provided.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Continuous improvement.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Outlook.
  • First aid trained desirable.
  • Excellent Communicator.
  • Knowledge problem solving techniques.
