Description
Location: Colorado Springs, CO Department: Operations / Facilities Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour The Facilities Supervisor oversees the daily operation, maintenance, and improvement of Skyline’s manufacturing campus and supporting facilities. This position ensures that all buildings, equipment, and grounds are maintained to support a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment for approximately 250 employees across office, production, and warehouse spaces. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced in managing facility maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities Facility Operations & Maintenance Oversee preventative maintenance and repair programs for building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and compressed air systems. Supervise and coordinate facility maintenance technicians and outside contractors. Ensure production areas, offices, and common spaces are kept in safe, orderly condition per OSHA and company standards. Manage work orders and respond to urgent maintenance needs with minimal production disruption. Maintain all facility-related records, permits, and documentation. Safety & Compliance Partner with HR to ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, EPA, and fire code regulations. Support audits and inspections (ISO, OSHA, UL, local fire, etc.). Ensure proper signage, lighting, exits, and emergency equipment inspections are completed and documented. Lead facility-related corrective actions and abatement processes when needed. Vendor & Budget Management Review vendor performance and ensure contract compliance. Capital Projects & Improvements Recommend improvements to building systems, energy efficiency, and preventive maintenance strategies. Team Leadership Supervise a small team of maintenance technicians, assigning daily priorities, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring adequate training and cross-coverage. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving within the facilities group. Qualifications Education: Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred; equivalent experience accepted. Experience: Minimum 5 years of facilities maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Knowledge & Skills: Familiar with OSHA safety standards and local building codes. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. Strong organizational skills. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals. Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk, stand, climb, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
