Ultium Cells Overview: Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. This $2.3 billion investment will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors’ North American electric vehicle applications. Ultium Cells’ partners include LG Energy Solution, Ltd.; the world’s largest manufacturer of automotive battery cells, and General Motors; a global company committed to delivering safer, better and more sustainable ways for people to get around. Position Description: The role of the Facility Supervisor is to serve as the leader of the facility hourly workforce. This team could include Ultium employees, Housekeeping teams, grounds teams. You will be responsible for administration of service contracts. You will work closely with all your Ultium business partners to ensure a high level of delivery of facilities services and ensure the facility is maintained to deliver a quality product. Job Responsibilities: * Direct, coordinate, lead and mentor the activities of team members. Plan, establish and assign work schedules, assignments, and work orders to ensure department goals are met. * Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs for facility equipment. * Facilitate team member development and growth by reviewing and managing performance through feedback and coaching as well as documentation. * Enforce safety and other applicable rules and regulations. * Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. * Document and follow up on SOP’s * Maintain related records, logs, and paperwork. * Ensuring all team members are utilizing time effectively * Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. * Observe work and monitor completion of tasks and work orders. * Confer with management, peers and others to resolve team member’s problems, complaints, or grievances. * Interpret and apply company policies and procedures, specifications, blueprints, and job orders for team members. * Coordinate Work Orders, Production, Vendors & Contractors. * Lead and foster a culture that values innovation, personal ownership and overall Ultium values, through an outcome-based approach without compromising safety * Additional duties as assigned Qualifications * Strong electrical background including high voltage distribution. 2-4years experience * Experience in common facility components that would include, hot liquid boilers, steam boilers, chilled water systems, HVAC systems (Cooling, heating, dehumidification, etc.), dust collection systems, 2-4 years * Strong computer skills including being proficient at Microsoft Office software and software use in building management systems * Ability to track, develop, and interpret metrics. * Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to communicate changes and provide updates to appropriate personnel and management on all shifts. * Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation.
