Position Overview Southall Church is a healthy, multiplying church in Franklin, TN with a vision to bring the life of Jesus to our families, neighbors and nations. We are looking for a Facilities Team Member who has a heart to steward and maintain our facilities with excellence, helping create spaces that are welcoming, functional, and ready for ministry. Role Summary The The Facilities Team Member will play a key role in creating welcoming and well-maintained environments where ministry can thrive. This role includes caring for church facilities and physical assets, supporting ministry events and building needs, leading volunteers, and partnering with the Campus Operations Director to help carry out the vision of Southall Church Key Responsibilities Work “up” with the Campus Operations Director to resource and support the ministries of Southall. Work “down” with all contractors and volunteer teams to coordinate and execute projects and tasks to “Make It Better” and resource the ministries of the church. Develop and oversee teams of volunteers to serve in maintenance, cleaning, and special building projects. Manage building usage calendar and coordinate all building usage. Assist in managing access control and alarm systems. Oversee proper set up and tear down for church events and ministry functions. Regularly inspect the church property and facilities for areas of need, concern, and any improvements. Areas of primary oversight will including custodial care and maintenance, grounds, building operations/usage, and inventory management of facilities supplies/assets. Coordinate the maintenance of the plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems including minor repairs and coordination of volunteer or outside vendors for major repairs or replacements (ensuring competitive and fair pricing). Ensure compliance and implementation of facility policies/procedures put in place by leadership. Organize and retain maintenance records for the building, contacts of outside vendors/volunteers, and annual/seasonal maintenance checklists. Develop and recommend a plan to repair and/or replace needed items around the facility. Ultimately responsible to keep the facilities/grounds clean, attractive and well-maintained, inside and out. Other duties as needed. Qualifications Demonstrated mature Christian character and personal commitment to Jesus Christ. Strong work ethic with the ability to take initiative and follow through on responsibilities. Basic knowledge of facility maintenance, repairs, and building operations preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently when needed. SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday HOURS: 40 (must be available for special events, church meetings, etc) COMPENSATION: TBD STAFF LEVEL: Coordinator: reports to the Campus Operations Director
