Join our Facilities Crew at Big Dam Water Park, an exciting and family-friendly destination that brings fun and relaxation to our guests. As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for the overall mechanical readiness and functionality of areas and assets park-wide including but not limited to: water quality, pumps & motors, furnishings, physical structures, landscaping, etc. Pay Rate will be based off lived work experiences and/or trade certifications Job Duties Conduct routine water quality testing and analysis Monitor and maintain water treatment processes to ensure compliance with regulations and standards Identify and troubleshoot issues related to water quality and treatment processes Document and report water quality data and findings to management Work closely with the maintenance department and assist where needed Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections with high attention to detail to identify necessary repairs. Ensure all attractions and operating locations are properly maintained to run safely and keep ride downtime to a minimum. Perform routine maintenance and timely repairs, not limited to but including painting, carpentry, plumbing, equipment, attractions and buildings. Operate cleaning equipment for pools and slides following all safety protocols. Handle chemicals safely and responsibly with proper protective equipment. Collaborate with management to prioritize maintenance tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop and pump rooms. Report all facility issues that are not immediately repairable to leadership. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Problem Solving Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Communication Great each and every guest in a warm and inviting manor and communicate with supervisor on progress or to fill downtime. Ask for assistance when needed. Planning/ Organizing Fill downtime with appropriate tasks; and work in an efficient manor. Quality Control Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work; look for ways to improve and promote quality; and able to monitor own work for quality assurance. Dependability Follows instructions and responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; complete task on time or notifies supervisor with an alternate plan and timeline; consistently at work and on time for scheduled shift; and ensure responsibilities are covered when absent. QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For Must be 18 years of age or older Must be physically able to complete work assignments and perform repairs when needed. Ability to reach, bend & walk for long-periods of time while able to move around the work environment. Must be able to independently move throughout the property, including up & down slide tower staircases, to diagnose and repair building or ride issues. Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects of at least 50 pounds. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Friendly, responsible, and attentive demeanor. Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
