Description Northeast Aero is seeking an experienced Facilities Technician to join our team. As a Facilities Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and safety of buildings and their associated systems. Candidates must be proactive and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to quality will contribute to the success of the organization. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager. Training, technical documents, and oversight are provided by NEACO management. Requirements Essential Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting to ensure systems operate efficiently. Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating, and ventilation. Perform general building maintenance, such as painting, carpentry, and landscaping. Perform basic plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaks and unclogging drains. Conduct minor electrical repairs, such as replacing light bulbs and outlets. Troubleshoot and resolve building maintenance issues promptly. Repair or replace damaged fixtures, equipment, and structures. Ensure fire and safety systems are functioning correctly. Responding to maintenance requests from building occupants. Clean common areas and make minor property repairs Perform grounds keeping duties, such as snow removal, or lawn care. Adhere to safety regulations and procedures. Conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work performed. Operate company vehicles to transport equipment, tools, and supplies between facilities and job sites. Conduct off-site errands and pickups as directed, including procurement of maintenance materials and parts. Adhere to all company vehicle policies, traffic laws, and safe driving practices at all times. Experience and Skills The ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings as well as a basic background check. Previous building maintenance preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, bending, and climbing. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in a related field. Physical Requirements The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The ability to walk up stairs Manual dexterity (must be able to hold certain components with one hand while moving tools around with the other) Constant hand manipulation of small to medium components Sitting or standing for long periods of time Frequent use of hand tools and other repair equipment Use of chemicals for cleaning, lubricating and painting Education High school diploma or GED is required. Trade schooling or related industry experience required. Associates degree or higher in a related technical field preferred. Clean Driver’s License/Clean Driving Record Compensation Hourly position commensurate with experience level and skill level and/or certifications.
