Facilities Technician (Electrical) Department: Manufacturing Employment Type: Full Time Location: Redondo Beach Compensation: $35.00 - $55.00 / hour Description As a Facilities Technician – Electrical at Impulse, you will support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing and office facilities. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining critical electrical infrastructure, troubleshooting equipment issues, installing new systems, and supporting facility expansion projects in a fast-paced aerospace environment. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated industrial electrician with strong troubleshooting skills who enjoys solving problems, working across multiple building systems, and helping maintain reliable facility operations. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and commission facility electrical systems and new equipment throughout manufacturing and office spaces Perform routine and emergency maintenance on electrical distribution systems including lighting, branch circuits, panels, transformers, disconnects, conduit, and receptacles Diagnose electrical faults using multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and other diagnostic equipment Install conduit, pull wire, terminate conductors, and modify existing electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on facility electrical infrastructure to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime Support infrastructure upgrades, remodels, equipment installations, and facility expansion projects by working closely with engineers, contractors, and safety personnel Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, panel schedules, equipment manuals, and construction drawings Support operation and maintenance of facility systems including HVAC equipment, exhaust systems, pumps, compressed air systems, and other building infrastructure Respond to facility service requests and equipment failures in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of workmanship and safety Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation within the company's CMMS Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), NFPA 70E, OSHA, and company safety procedures while performing electrical work Identify opportunities to improve facility reliability, maintainability, energy efficiency, and safety through proactive repairs and process improvements Minimum Qualifications 10+ years of hands-on industrial or commercial electrical maintenance experience Strong knowledge of 120/208V, 277/480V electrical systems, transformers, breakers, motor controls, and power distribution Experience troubleshooting electrical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, panel layouts, and construction drawings Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Proficient with electrical testing equipment including multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and circuit tracers Experience installing conduit (EMT, RMC, PVC), pulling wire, and terminating electrical equipment Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship Preferred Skills and Experience California Journeyman Electrician Certification Experience in aerospace, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, laboratory, mission-critical, or data center environments Experience working with HVAC equipment, Building Automation Systems (BAS), VFDs, generators, UPS systems, or emergency power Basic troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment and motor controls Experience using CMMS software such as MaintainX, Fiix, Maximo, or similar maintenance management systems OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Basic plumbing, mechanical, or fabrication experience is a plus Additional Information: Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
