Description
Job Summary Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical, controls, automation, and facility systems to support safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. Ensures high equipment uptime through preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities while supporting production targets, safety compliance, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. Works cross-functionally to improve operational performance and maintain critical manufacturing and facility equipment. Key Responsibilities Maintenance Operations * Execute preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and plant uptime. * Attend and resolve day-to-day electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related machine breakdowns. * Diagnose equipment faults, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions. * Maintain production equipment, utilities, and facility systems including compressors and building infrastructure. * Ensure equipment availability and support production requirements through timely maintenance interventions. * Monitor machine health and support continuous equipment performance improvement. Electrical & Controls Systems * Troubleshoot and maintain electrical distribution systems, motors, drives, control panels, sensors, and automation equipment. * Diagnose and repair PLC-based control systems and relay logic circuits. * Perform PLC programming, modifications, and troubleshooting activities. * Read and interpret ladder logic, electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, hydraulic circuits, and technical drawings. * Support installation, startup, commissioning, and improvement of electrical systems and equipment. * Utilize electrical test equipment to diagnose and resolve equipment failures. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance * Ensure 100% compliance with preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance plans. * Implement condition-based and predictive maintenance activities to prevent equipment failures. * Follow manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules and startup procedures. * Maintain maintenance records, reports, and documentation for all maintenance activities. * Utilize maintenance management systems to track, prioritize, schedule, and document work activities. Safety, Health & Environmental (HSE) * Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all HSE standards, policies, and procedures. * Implement and enforce Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), work permits, and risk assessment requirements. * Conduct safety inspections and ensure machine safety systems, interlocks, hoists, and cranes are properly maintained and certified. * Report hazards, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly. * Support initiatives aimed at achieving zero safety incidents within the facility. * Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. Spare Parts & Asset Management * Support spare parts planning and inventory management to maintain required stock levels. * Coordinate procurement and replenishment of critical maintenance spares. * Manage maintenance resources efficiently to minimize downtime and maintenance costs. * Participate in asset management and equipment lifecycle improvement initiatives. Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving * Conduct root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies such as Why-Why Analysis. * Drive corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring equipment failures. * Support productivity, quality, and efficiency improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. * Participate in maintenance improvement projects and operational excellence programs. * Maintain high standards of housekeeping and support 5S implementation throughout maintenance areas. Collaboration & Team Support * Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Facilities, and Safety teams to achieve business objectives. * Coordinate maintenance schedules, shutdown activities, and project execution. * Train and support technicians, apprentices, and maintenance personnel. * Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance activities as required.
