Job Description We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Technician to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our building systems and grounds. The ideal candidate will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and manage repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural areas Essential Responsibilities & Duties: Preventive Maintenance (PM): Conduct scheduled inspections and servicing of HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and fire/safety equipment to prevent failures. Repairs & Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting and hands-on repairs for electrical wiring, lighting, plumbing leaks, drywall, painting, door hardware and building automation systems. Building Automation Systems: Monitor and operate Building Automation Systems (BAS) and installed mechanical equipment. Emergency Response: Serve as primary contact for facility-related emergencies (fire alarms, security alarms, power outages, leakages, or system failures) and respond promptly to on-call duties. Contractor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and contract terms. Building Upkeep: Managing general carpentry, drywall repair, painting, swimming pool servicing, cleaning A/C filters, furniture assembly, etc. Grounds & Facility Upkeep: Perform or coordinate exterior maintenance, including parking lot and yards upkeep, repaint metal fence and wooden doors/windows, etc. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repair logs, and inventory of tools and parts using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Safety & Compliance: Ensuring the facility adheres to health and safety regulations and maintaining fire safety equipment like alarms and extinguishers. Qualifications Education: High school diploma. Associate degree or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical or building maintenance is a plus. Multiskilling person who has knowledge of more than one profession (electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, automation systems) will be considered more suitable for the position Experience: 8+ years of experience as professional Plumber or Electrician or Mechanical technician or Automation technician or facilities maintenance or Technician in commercial building operations, or a related trade field. Technical Knowledge: Proven knowledge of HVAC systems or electrical or plumbing or mechanical or automation systems. Physical Demands: Ability to lift 40+ Kg, climb ladders (up to 5m), and work in varied environments (roofs, tight spaces). Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions. Soft Skills: Attention to detail, proactive mindset, and effective communication skills. Clear verbal and written reporting to supervisors, colleagues, and building occupants. Languages: Verbal and written knowledge of Greek and English languages. Working hours: 5 days a week 08:00 to 17:00 including weekends and holidays based on rotation with the rest of the team. Working on holiday is paid double. Any overtime occurred is exchanged with time Off. Every maintenance employee is obligated for two weeks per month on-call duties out of working hours in case of emergency, which are included in the salary.
