Our paid time off policy is generous including PTO, sick leave, and paid holidays.    Facilities Technician - 1st Shift $22-$24/hr Job Purpose Under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, this position is responsible for conducting Facilities maintenance, minimum repair on facilities systems including HVAC, compressed air, process water, vacuum, dust collection, mist collection, chilled water and all facilities tasks related to work areas like cubicles and offices. Aids operations to install and relocate equipment, facilities planning, and special projects. Supports continuous improvement, sustainability, quality, environmental and EH&S objectives.   Principal Accountabilities * Confers with the Facilities Supervisor and Maintenance Manager regarding daily activities to ensure that they best support the Production and Operation schedules. * Machine clean-outs as needed, removing metals from Swiss Screw Machines and processing them for reclaim.  Help with the recycle program of red containers, media, cardboard, and paper. * Helps maintain inventory and log sheets items related to Facilities. * Maintains records of planned and completed maintenance activities. * Operates and maintains forklift as needed. * Provides general maintenance to the facility as required. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Assists in determining the best way to make repairs to minimize production downtimes. * Helps coordinate outsourced services or installation projects as needed from external contractors.   * Always maintains good housekeeping practices. * Can-do attitude, team-oriented. * A passion for connecting the day-to-day tasks to the greater JM mission of making the world cleaner and healthier.   Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience * 1 year in a manufacturing role or environment * Forklift experience * Use of various personal protective equipment required for daily activities * Occasional lifting of heavy objects  * Frequent stooping and bending   Medical Device Components is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitable qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, marriage or civil partnership or maternity, religion or belief.
