Description Job Summary: The Facilities Technician supports the shipyard, adjacent areas, internal and external customers, while performing routine maintenance, ensuring the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of facilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performing general and detailed maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, patching, hardware repairs, and manual repairs Assisting laggers with organization of insulations materials, measuring cuts, applying insulation Cleaning interior and exterior spaces, including floors, walls, windows, and doors. They may also clean restrooms, break rooms, and offices Moving materials: Using equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks Interacting with facilities managers, other maintenance staff, customers and crews, and company employees Helps to maintains adequate custodial and breakroom supply stocks Other duties as assigned Requirements Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Job Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, talk or hear The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Works in all areas of the shipyard, docks, and offices Hearing warning signals and reading and comprehending safety instructions. Must be able to maintain general safety awareness and avoid hazards commonly present in employee’s work area.

Responsibilities
