Description Calvary Port St. Lucie, a Christian Non-Denominational Church is looking for a facilities maintenance technician to join the facilities team. Position Summary: As a Facilities maintenance technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functionality, safety and appearance of our church and school facilities. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine maintenance, addressing repair needs promptly, and coordinating with external vendors when necessary. You will be a key team member dedicated to maintaining a well-kept secure environment for our staff, students and guests. Essential job functions will include: Providing support for setting up, breaking down and clean-up of facilities for events, activities and weekly church services as needed. Collaborating with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities that may impact daily operations Performing preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Responding promptly to maintenance requests, troubleshooting issues and completing repairs efficiently. Conducting routine inspections to identify potential problems and addressing them proactively. Addressing and repairing any mechanical issues promptly within the physical buildings Assisting and executing facility improvement projects Daily cleaning and removal of garbage as necessary based on routine assignment from the Facilities Manager. Assist the Facilities Manager with volunteer projects and crews Be comfortable using multiple technologies to make processes more manageable and more efficient Ability to work efficiently and promptly with a standard of quality mindset and a sense of urgency in completing tasks when needed. Overtime may be required as needed Performs other duties and assignments as requested by the facilities manager Requirements EDUCATION: Minimum High School Diploma EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years of recent experience The ideal candidate will possess the following: Must have a clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior Must be able to demonstrate a strong and active involvement in a good standing local church Must have a positive attitude with the ability to maintain a high energy level while performing daily tasks. Must have a general background in basic plumbing, irrigation and carpentry HVAC or electrical skills are not required, but would be great to have. Must have the ability to communicate well with various types of individuals, handle confidential information appropriately, maintain a courteous, professional, and respectful attitude and integrity in all situations. Must have a very high degree of personal and professional integrity and character Must be well organized and efficient with personal time management Naturally self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as able to succeed in a collaborative team environment Understands and agrees with Calvary PSL’s statement of faith, mission, and core commitments. Responsibilities
The Facilities Technician ensures the optimal functionality, safety, and appearance of church and school facilities by conducting routine maintenance, addressing repairs promptly, and supporting event setups and cleanups. Responsibilities also include performing preventative maintenance on building systems and assisting the Facilities Manager with projects and daily assignments.
