Job Description The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing trade-level maintenance work including plumbing, carpentry, welding, fitting, and general repair activities. The role supports facility uptime, safety compliance, and quality standards by ensuring effective maintenance solutions. This position also includes responsibilities related to Facilities operations such as Baling Machine operations, Forklift use, Waste recycling and movement, and Black Water Treatment. Conduct maintenance on plumbing, water systems, and other facility infrastructure. Perform general repair work including carpentry, welding, and electrical (where applicable). Operate and maintain equipment related to waste management, including baling machines and black water treatment systems. Use forklifts and other machinery to assist with recycling and material movement. Identify issues and carry out technical troubleshooting and repairs. Support EHS, regulatory, and sanitary compliance through facility maintenance. Participate in cross-functional improvement and coaching initiatives. Execute related administrative duties and documentation. Support organizational quality compliance and environmental initiatives across the site. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Successful completion of Year 12 Trade Certificate in plumbing, carpentry, welding/fabrication, or fitting Minimum 5 years of technical/trade experience Preferred: Trade certification in Landscaping or Housekeeping Basic written and verbal communication skills Additional Information If you are keen to develop your career in an exciting business with a well-regarded brand, then this could be for you.
