About the Opportunity Ventia are hiring a Facility and Assets Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of public assets under the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA). We deliver facilities management services across more than 5,000 government-owned sites, supporting 48 South Australian government agencies. Our team partners with local businesses to provide essential services to the community, operating 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This full-time regional role covers sites across Port Pirie, Port Augusta, Whyalla, and surrounding areas, with flexibility to be based at either our Port Pirie, Port Augusta, or Whyalla offices. You’ll be responsible for managing reactive and preventative maintenance, coordinating small projects, and ensuring the continued operation and efficiency of essential public facilities such as schools, hospitals, courts, and police stations. Key Duties include, but are not limited to: Identify risks and opportunities in maintenance and capital works, implementing plans to meet commercial targets and optimise asset lifecycle costs Support delivery of Asset Business Plans and other strategic property planning initiatives Analyse reactive maintenance and call-out data to inform asset maintenance and preventative schedules Act as the primary contact for technical, facilities management, and asset maintenance matters Monitor contractor performance, ensuring delivery aligns with budget, scope, and compliance standards Assist with audits, inspections, and reporting on programmed work by subcontractors Maintain accurate records to support performance tracking and build strong relationships with agencies, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants Skills and Qualifications Proven ability to work in complex stakeholder environments with a solid understanding of facilities or corporate real estate. Demonstrated experience in facilities management or a trade, building, or commercial real estate setting. Strong capability in property maintenance and management; trade background not essential. Project management qualification or demonstrated experience in a relevant industry. Current driver's licence required.
