Description

The Lending Cupboard™ is a unique registered charity organization that provides medical and mobility equipment on loan, at no charge, to the greater central Alberta area.
The need for this equipment is steadily increasing, and The Lending Cupboard™ is seeking another ambitious staff member to join our team.
As a new staff member, your primary qualification will be your willingness to learn.
Your inquisitive mind will lead you to understand every intricate mechanical detail of each piece of equipment. This understanding, combined with your drive for attention to detail and your natural ability to support our team of dedicated volunteers, will ensure that our equipment reaches our clients in top-notch, safe working condition.
Your willingness to serve others, mentor our ambitious team of volunteers, and pitch in when and where needed will be your greatest assets.
Your skill set will include a natural mechanical inclination, and you will have an acute attention to detail.
Complete training will be provided.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A ticketed or licensed tradesperson is an asset but not required.
  • A strong mechanical inclination.
  • Experience in facility maintenance, warehouse operations, or a similar role is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office/facility environment.
  • Ability to obtain a clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and networks.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.13-$24.60 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Education:

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Service and repair our fleet of equipment, with the capability to train others to perform repairs accurately.
  • Provide quality control for all equipment on the inventory floor.
  • Assist with receiving, sorting, and distributing medical equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and facility infrastructure.
  • Support inventory management by tracking equipment as it is received and distributed.
  • Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide assistance to clients and staff as required.
  • Work collaboratively with volunteers and team members to maintain efficient operations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of equipment and related areas.
